Happy Halloween!
Oct. 31st, 2007 09:36 pmI spent the last few days being sick--not horribly sick, but "I don't want to do anything but sit on the couch or nap" sick. Also, of course, a busy week.
Pumpkins have been carved, pumpkin seeds roasted. Cardboard constructions have been constructed. Paidhi Girl made more sugar skulls, too, though I insisted she wait until today to ice them, since there were just too many things on the agenda. Tomorrow they go to school, appropriate not only because of the date but because I gather Paidhi Girl's class is studying Mexico in some fashion.
We went begging for candy and brought back quite a haul, ran screaming down the street with friends, and generally did Halloween kinds of things. Paidhi Boy was Venom (I know, he was terrified by Venom in the theater, but one of his friends said he was going to be Venom, and...anyway.) Paidhi Girl was a piranha. Wanna see? Sure you do. Paidhi Girl did nearly all of the design and definitely all of the drawing, I did all the cutting and some of the taping. She got lots of compliments.
So, generally a pretty successful Halloween.
