Yup, Gmail ruins hyperlinks in email posts due to their formatting. I have a couple IFTTT widgets that I use to do quick DW posts from my phone; what I learned is to leverage DW's support for markdown. (It won't help in your case, but if anyone else reading this is thinking about using post by email with IFTTT I'm happy to help.)
