So there may be, uh, two or three people on my f-list who are a)Foreigner fans and b)have read or in any way care about my little Foreigner ficlets. For those people, I present the image that just arrived in my mailbox and gave me a great big grin.



It's that loveable...I mean favorable...um, it's that cute little atevi cartoon character, Happy Shellfish! Created by nenya_kanadka. That made my day. I am now officially amused and pleased. I have to admit to occasionally wishing I could cafepress myself a T-Shirt with the immortal slogan "Happy Shellfish always files a flight plan!" and now I've actually got an image....

Like I said, it's not going to make 20K. More like 15 or 16.

It's still a mess. It still needs major cleaning up, and it's still got that awful spot where the whole omniscient thing just falls right out of my hands with a terrible thud, but it will be a finished first draft. I had set myself an arbitrary deadline of December 1 for posting it on Horrific Miscue, and I'm only going to be a few days late. I might just tell the family not to bother me tonight and spit it all out, and then spend tomorrow evening cleaning up the most obvious faults and then...start thinking about postapocalyptic dinosaurs and how I'm going to fix them. That's my plan, anyway.
