GigaNotoSaurus
Apr. 1st, 2010 11:15 amSo, I don't have enough other things to occupy my time. So I'm starting a webzine.
It's a very tiny webzine--I plan to publish one story a month. What sort of stories, you ask? Well, spec--some variety of science fiction or fantasy, or any combination thereof. And long. The minimum word limit is 5,000 words, maximum 25,000. I'm currently planning to debut the first story on November 1, 2010. Guidelines here.
So, got something longish--maybe it ran out of places to send because it was so big--that you really believe in? Shoot it my way, and if I think it's right for GigaNotoSaurus, I'll give you a hundred bucks and publish it.
edited to add--I hit "post" and went upstairs to make some ramen with egg and curry powder, sat back down at my desk, and realized what day it is. This is not an April Fool--I really want you to send me stories.
For the record, I'm not down with most April Fools gags. Stuff that's obviously silly and just meant to be fun (see: Google) is cool with me, but actual attempts to deceive and then find humor in having tricked someone just...well, it just doesn't tickle my funnybone and often seems meanspirited to me.
