Yeah, I was thinking about that as I typed it! When I was a kid, I never thought about the connection with the surname, because we always pronounced it "ram-uh-REE-zye," and when you went to buy them at a shop, the tank labels always just said "Rams." I didn't go "Oh - they were named after someone named Ramirez" until a few years ago when I was trying to find a picture of one on the Intarwebs and had to figure out how it was actually spelled.
You need something little tiny on which to feed them, usually. If they are vegan fish ;-) thay can eat algae off the tank sides, but you might need to get special baby fish food otherwise. And they eat teeny teeny amounts, so you have to be careful not to foul the tank they're in with excess food.
