Fassbender, aside from selling great chocolate and having a very nice cafe upstairs (and a restaurant, but with limited hours), had absolutely amazing sculptures. Zikos was the first restaurant that we ate at when we arrived there and the food was just wonderful. My wife had a sort of hunters stew, I had a fillet of sole. And we had beer. Very good stuff. As I recall they either had English menus or the menus had two sides, something like that. It's 3 or so blocks from the underground, and there are some nice little shops in the district. It's a very multicultural district. The area that Fassbender is in is much more touristy, Charlottenburg is much more lived-in.
