ann_leckieWell, an odd couple of days. I got a whole rush of crits on the rest of the book from one of my critters who'd signed on just because she loved my first chapters so much. They were lovely--she loved it! Of course, this contradicted the gentleman who felt I'd dropped the ball on the last third of the book, and who I felt had some good points. We discussed it for a bit, and now I'm finding I've got to decide which book to go with--the one I've written, or the one the other critter thinks I should have written.
I'm still thinking things over, as well as discussing it with my latest critter, getting more specific information and thoughts. She seems very smart, and fun, and it's obvious she has impeccable taste! I'd love to think she's right, because it doesn't mean a complete re-write of the last part of the book. I've been re-reading the ms to see what I can learn from that.
That's really been what's happening these past couple of days. Regular weekend stuff, otherwise, violin lessons and visits to grandma's and such.
