Gah. Drank too much of a bottle of red wine last night while staying up much too late watching Twilight Zone episodes. I regretted it this morning, but you can't call in sick from being a mommy. Up and breakfast for everyone, and then pack the kids off to school and sit down at the coffee shop for some serious work.
My ideas of how I should take (or not) the advice that's been offered to me have begun to solidify, and I'm beginning to see my way clear. I'm aiming for another month on this ms--I think I should be about done by then, and then be able to send it off to a dependable critter for a final vetting, and then off it goes to the first publisher on the list. I'm feeling much more optimistic about the whole project today, even though right now I can barely keep my eyes open I'm so tired. I'm going to be turning in when the kids do, tonight.
