So, when you read tired, and/or after a glass or two of wine, you read things like this:

Hesiod tells that it was on Crete that Demeter united with Iasion in a thrice-ploughed corn field and thereafter gave birth to pluots,


*blink* That can't possibly be what I just read. Let's try that again.

...and thereafter gave birth to Plutos, wealth in corn.


Sentence that tickled my funnybone a few pages later:

Finally the right sacrificial liver came to light, and the day was saved.
