And you're probably asking yourself, what am I doing cat-vacuuming at this hour, when I should be preparing school lunches? Well, it's early dismissal day in the district, and the school where I work doesn't get lunch today. So I'm at home! And the kids are at school for a few hours. I've got my current project up on the screen, I've got some music going. I've started a load of laundry, I've loaded up the dishwasher....gah! I'm having one of those days.

It's one of those household chores that only gets done when I've got writing to do. You know. "Time to write...wait! I have to vacuum the cat!"

I think it originated on usenet, as the definitive "thing you do to put off writing" activity.
