Some days ago I received, but have only just now had time to open, a lovely message cylinder. It is emblazoned with the countenance of Happy Shellfish, and contains, of course, a felicitous number of enclosures. Not only felicitously numbered, but beautiful and charming, and now I'm going to have to attempt to please the cylinder's next recipient as much as I have been! Later in the day I'll take pictures--right now I'm raising my alkaloid level and preparing myself for work and the Paidhi Kids for school.
Where in the world am I going to get sealing wax?
'Sicho-ji, nadi-ma, it's the loveliest thing!

Date: 2006-09-28 03:39 am (UTC)I don't have direct experience of purchasing sealing wax, since mine was given to me by an associate, but I hear that perhaps one can get it in the sort of place that sells incense and hippy stuff, or in places that sell nice fancy calligraphy & stationery things. Or perhaps online...? I do know from experience that candle wax doesn't work well. :( (My first attempt at wax, using candle wax, shattered in the mail. Sealing was is ever so much hardier.)
One whispers surreptitiously that the next recipient is worried that she is behind in her message cylinder sending, so she won't be at all put out if you keep Happy Shellfish for a bit before sending him on. Do thoroughly enjoy him--he is fanart for your version of the universe, after all!
See how much fun cylinder-ing is? :D
