ann_leckieDaylily buds (dropped into boiling water for three minutes, drained, and buttered) taste like green beans with pollen. And they have an aftertaste like the smell of clothes right out of the dryer. I freely admit that I was not brave enough to try one.
We spent the morning doing chore-type things, and made it to the pool minutes after they opened. Just before they blew the final whistle, we were packed up and out the gate. That's eight hours at the pool, folks. "This was a very good day," Paidhi Boy told me as we headed homeward. Well, it pretty much was. I planned to do some drafting tonight, but I'm beat. I think I'll do some preliminary layout work (names! It's hard for me to start without names) and call it a night.
