ann_leckieAck, the Dope is down again! I know they're ironing the kinks out of the new version and such, but I do miss it when it's down. Personally, though some things I like about the change and some I don't, it's all minor issues, as far as I'm concerned, and I'm much more worried about whether it's running or not.
Oh, hey, the phone just rang! The dentist had a cancellation, so Paidhi Girl can get her cavity filled this morning instead of tomorrow, so she won't miss school. It means I have to get her ready, and let Mr. Cameron know he has to watch Paidhi Boy, but it's better than her missing school.
So this weekend I had a nice chat with one of my critters, on AIM. I only got AIM recently, since I don't often chat. I've had jabber for awhile, we use it for group chats on the Cherryh Pit, and supposedly jabber works with AIM and yahoo and MSN and such, but of course when someone gave me their AIM screen name, I couldn't get it to work. So I got AIM, and so far it's kind of handy. My chat with my critter was very pleasant. And I've just discovered that a local college lets folks in to use their library. And it's brand new, with nice desks to study at, and comfortable chairs, and internet connections. So yesterday I went there to write, and IMed home to ask if there was anything I should pick up when I left. Yeah, nothing earth-shattering, but I found it pleasant.
Well, that dentist cancellation was for nine thirty, and it's quarter til now, so I'd better get moving.
